Road trippin' 2015

Fave pic from day one of the drive:

And day two:

I feel like these pics could be in one of those photo hunt games. Taking bets on whether or not they show up in different clothes tomorrow.

Cousins!

This may be the last time Sloane is bigger than Aotis. Not sure we can even say she's still bigger!

The stuff memories are made of

We didn't quite make our "leave for Wisconsin tonight" goal (or Sunday, Monday, even Tuesday goals). At this point (midnight on Wednesday, so it's technically Thursday), if we wait a couple more days, we'll leave like we said we'd leave, on Sunday! But wait, we decided to rent our place out through Airbnb while we're gone, and the first tenants come tomorrow (which is technically today!!). Hence, we're having a family "camp out" on the couch so we don't mess up all the freshly made beds!  Thank goodness for our family size couch!

I'll be curious 5, 10 years from now, as we're packing up for our trip, if anyone says "hey! Remember that one time...?!"  I guess it at least beats sleeping in the truck on the side of the road!

My Legos are walking

I happened to catch Gus during a recent moment of ingenuity:

Love me some nekked baby!

(Oh, and yes, he can officially roll over now...at least to one side. He's done it so much that I can actually get a smile, even when he's on his tummy!)

Mom love

Mother's Day was more like Mother's weekend this year.  I arrived home from work Friday to find that my boys had put together some new shelves and added some much wanted color to our master bathroom (with dad's help of course). Both things I had been talking about doing for some time. We followed that surprise with a nice dinner with just our five.

Then, on Saturday, we loaded up the whole famdamily and drove to Davis for a little pre-mother's day fun with the whole Keane-Miller crew.  All 2 grandparents, 3 daughters, 2 husbands, and 4 grandkids under 1 roof for a night.  We all agreed we couldn't remember a time ever having 2 babies in that house at the same time.

Sunday, after a yummy breakfast at Casa Baba and Dave, everyone loaded up and headed to Kevin and Maggie's house in Fairfield for "Guys do Mother's Day."  It was a lovely afternoon in which the men in the Keane family all collaborated on a most delicious meal in honor of us mamas.  Their lush garden/backyard served as backdrop to sneak in a few family photos as well!

I couldn't manage to get all three boys with me at the same time for a photo op (Aotis took a monster nap most of the afternoon while we were there!).  But I did get some good smiles in with these munchkins!

And when he did finally wake up, wrangling the other two was darn near impossible!

We did somehow finally make it happen, and got ourselves one of very few family o' five shots to date.  I suppose I'll wait a few more years before I truly expect too much more than 2 of 5 looking at the camera and smiling at it. :)

I sure was happy to be a Mother on this day!  I Love this fam!

Three months old!

Third kid, and it takes three months.  Sorry buddy.  Three kids, and I have three times the excuses for not getting a monthly blog update completed.  But, I have started what I think to be my best monthly photo shoot yet!  Here are months 1, 2, and 3:

Your smile is contagious Aotis!  Right around 2 months, you started sharing it with us.  You particularly like sharing it with your brothers.  In this last month, you have started paying more attention to those big brothers, watching them, cooing at them, reaching out to them.  You have been an amazing, calming addition to this family, and we are so happy you chose us as yours!
