Catching up

Must be holiday season. Time is passing me by without anything getting done! (or maybe that's just getting used to parenthood?) Here are a few of the moments we've shared with Arjen over the past couple of weeks...
 

"Wake up nephew!" (A phrase I hear often and am trying to discourage!)

Back in August, Andrew and I were on our annual trip to visit his family in Wisconsin.  My mother-in-law and sisters-in-law threw a surprise baby shower for me.  It was a wonderful Sunday brunch at Millhome Supper Club.  It was the first time it really sank in that we were about to have a baby!

Just about 2 months later, we had another sort of surprise shower, although this was a surprise postponement.  My family was planning to throw a shower for us on October 9, which was put on hold since Arjen decided to make his early arrival!  We pushed the Octoberfest themed party out 1 month, and had a "meet the baby" shower on November 6, 1 day before Arjen's 1 month birthday.  Now the theme of "Beer, Brats, and Baby" rang true, as we really had a baby!
