A very belated post

Back in March, we drove down to Los Angeles for some Madness.  Along with spending some quality road trip time with Baba and Dave and watching some top notch college hoops, we also got to visit the Miller side of our family, which we don't get to see often enough!

Aotis was more than comfy in GGma Margie's lap.  Arjen was excitedly talking about the fancy reacher/grabber tools that he kept finding around their house.

As it goes with birth order, #1 was the only one lucky enough to get his own printed baby book.  #3 looks so much like him here, perhaps it can double for both? (just kidding Aotis!)

So he may not ever get his own printed baby book, but Aotis is the only one who got to join us for the live Madness (he was just under two months old).

Perhaps his shirt should have said "littlest badger fan"!  He was amazing.  The noise in the arena did not phase him one bit.  He actually slept through a lot of it (the plus side of taking such a young baby with us), but then decided he wanted to watch some of the action too!

This kid got to do it all, also spending an evening with Mom and Dad in a Downtown LA rooftop bar! (Thanks to Baba and Dave for watching the other two!)

No shortage of team spirit for this crew:

After all the basketball fun, we got to spend some time with cousins in Los Feliz.  The boys were thrilled to discover Milo's box-o-legos.  This was also the night they officially became obsessed with Star Wars, thanks to his extensive collection!

GGpa John, Kristin and Aotis

So sad they couldn't get along or find a common pastime to keep them entertained...

Cousin Travis has a serious knack for getting my babies to sleep...
With Aotis:

And in 2013 with Gus:

So great to see extended family and introduce Aotis to all the Millers!  It's taken me so long to get these pics up on the blog, we're about due for another trip down south!

Taking on the wind

No. This has nothing to do with windsurfing, other than we were at the beach watching Andrew and grandpa Wayne sail. But this does entail a battle between Gus and the wind. Feel free to laugh out loud and watch multiple times. I know I have!

Road trippin' 2015

Fave pic from day one of the drive:

And day two:

I feel like these pics could be in one of those photo hunt games. Taking bets on whether or not they show up in different clothes tomorrow.

Cousins!

This may be the last time Sloane is bigger than Aotis. Not sure we can even say she's still bigger!

The stuff memories are made of

We didn't quite make our "leave for Wisconsin tonight" goal (or Sunday, Monday, even Tuesday goals). At this point (midnight on Wednesday, so it's technically Thursday), if we wait a couple more days, we'll leave like we said we'd leave, on Sunday! But wait, we decided to rent our place out through Airbnb while we're gone, and the first tenants come tomorrow (which is technically today!!). Hence, we're having a family "camp out" on the couch so we don't mess up all the freshly made beds!  Thank goodness for our family size couch!

I'll be curious 5, 10 years from now, as we're packing up for our trip, if anyone says "hey! Remember that one time...?!"  I guess it at least beats sleeping in the truck on the side of the road!

My Legos are walking

I happened to catch Gus during a recent moment of ingenuity:
